Ice creams are undeniably a gem of our childhood that transformed any bad day with their cold soft texture covered in sweetness. Ice cream was a way to go if you felt something incomplete after a heavy meal, one feels an emptiness in its meal without a touch of sweetness at the end.
It is one of the world’s oldest desserts where it started by being eaten as a combination of milk and rice that was frozen in the snow. It went through many hands, taking centuries, to develop into a smooth and silky ball of sweetness.
I got the privilege of trying many varieties of ice-creams from my childhood till now. Yes I do love it till date, the same as in my childhood although my love divided itself into many flavors of it but the foundation of its love is standing as strong as Everest.
From cups to cones and sundaes I have tasted many versions of ice cream but the latest one I fell in love with was an ice cream cake.

It was my aunt’s birthday party where I and my brother were given the responsibility of getting a cake for her that night. We went on our scooter to our nearest ice cream parlor to get a red velvet ice cream cake but unfortunately, its stock was sold out the only cakes left were black forest, pineapple, and Hershey’s ice cream cake.
Knowing the choice of our taste buds better than anyone else’s we went straight for the Hershey’s ice cream cake. We put it into the refrigerator to chill so that by the time of the dessert the cake could be served ‘fresh’.
Dessert time arrived we demoulded the cake and there was clapping and hooting for the occasion but my focus was on getting a slice of the cake with a Hershey’s “kiss” on the top as soon as the cake was cut, first of all, I at the majority of the “kisses” on the cake and took a slice of the cake with the last “kiss” over it and ran way to my seat.
The crumbly brownie texture below with the caramel chocolate ice cream in the middle mixed with nougat was tasting godly delicious! and the last but not the least the last kiss of the cake which was on my cake slice was eaten by me separately after finishing the whole slice.
In less than 5 minutes of being sliced, the cake was devoured completely. What lingered longer was the unforgettable taste !
