When I think of Mexico the foods that come to my mind are nachos, burritos, and tacos. It is strange to know that during the ancient era Mexico was the very own country that invented world-famous Hot Chocolate.
The Royal family of Mexico used to consume this drink since it was a status symbol for them. Mexican cuisine has given us an enormous variety of dishes to eat which also blended ingredients from American cuisine the reason being Mexican food is an important part of the American diet.

I became a fan of nachos from my teenage eating them with salsa or cheese dip it goes well with everything. Vegetables used in salsa and the spices mixed with it make a perfect balance of sweet, sour, and spicy.
A few months back in December 2021, I was been introduced to a Mexican dish with an American twist on it.
The Burrito Bowl.
I was in New Delhi at that time after a tiring day full of studies I wanted to end my day happily lying on my bed but my maa had decided on some chores for me to complete and since I was an obedient helpless child I went in the kitchen to ask for the chores I need to do.
As I looked around in the kitchen my sister was sauteing some bell peppers and ordered me to take some bowls and a tray to keep on the dining table.
After some time she arrived in the dining room with sauteed bell peppers, fried rice, kidney beans, corn and crushed nachos, and crunchy iceberg lettuce.
All this was served in different bowls and we had to transfer a spoonful of each meal from the bowls into one bowl for each person topped with onion and capsicum dip.
This was our dinner at The Burrito Bowl. Honestly, I am not a fan of eating rice for dinner so I was just trying this meal for appreciating my sister’s hard in making this dish.
Once all sat in their seats we grabbed our bowls and I took the first bite from the bowl. In one bite I tasted the flavor of life, hot kidney beans and rice complementing the crunchy nachos and the iceberg lettuce with chilled dip.
It was a delight for me where my taste buds were having a joyful time eating the food I was feeling the sound of crunchiness and softness of the different ingredients used in it. It was never the same in each bite there were some other experiences I had, just like life it’s a giant wheel where we go up and down several times, some enjoy at the height whereas some are happy being near the ground level what is important is that life is not only about ups and downs, it’s about the journey we go through to reach those ups and downs. With every experience, we get a different taste of life at times its in our favor some times not but I learned from food to enjoy each taste if it’s now go grab it because we never know what lies beneath it and this is what we call the adventure of living the life.
